Sodium polyacrylate is a commonly used dispersant, also known as 2-sodium acrylate homopolymer, S sodium polyacrylate. It is a colorless or light yellow viscous liquid at room temperature, non-toxic, weakly alkaline, insoluble in organic solvents , easily soluble in water and aqueous solution, but in aqueous solutions such as calcium hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide, it first dissolves and then precipitates as the number of alkaline earth metal ions increases. It can operate under alkaline and medium-concentration chemicalbook reduction conditions without scaling. The molecular weight is about 500-3000. It can disperse microcrystals or sediments of salts such as calcium carbonate and calcium sulfate in water without precipitation, thereby achieving the purpose of scale inhibition. In addition to being used as a scale inhibitor dispersant in circulating cooling water systems such as power plants, chemical plants, fertilizer plants, refineries and air conditioning
