Manufacturer Supplies Organic Intermediate Plasticizer Diethyl Maleate (DEM) CAS 141-05-9
Colorless and transparent liquid, miscible with various organic solvents, partially dissolved in benzene and chlo roform, and dissolved 1.4% in water at 30 ℃; Water dissolves 1.9% in diethyl maleate. Form an azeotropic mixture with 88.2% water, with a boiling point of 99.65 ℃. Diethyl maleate is a maleic acid ester formed by the fo rmal condensation of two carboxyl groups of maleic acid with ethanol. It is a thiol reactive alpha, beta unsaturated carbonyl compound that can consume glutathione in exposed cells.
